Pros
I am passionate about the program that I was hired for, and have been for several years. I'm often in awe of the fact that I have the opportunity to assist with the launch of exciting new products and promotions for our client. GMR has a history of creating awesome experiences for consumers, and I am proud to be part of that legacy.
Cons
-Very little notice as to when to schedule trainings, which trickles down to the rest of the market staff -Poor pay in comparison to other companies and infrequent to non-existent pay increases -They actually did away with bonuses a couple of years ago -The options for health, vision, and dental benefits have decreased every year since I began my employment -Expenses are paid out-of-pocket and reimbursement is difficult to obtain -Frequent restructuring causes chaos and the loss of amazing employees -Employment is on a year to year basis, so there is no real job security. Several amazing managers were let go last year with no explanation -Unless you're in the "Boy's Club", you can expect to remain stagnant in your career growth -Market Managers have very little control over staffing in their own markets. We are often forced to utilize employees from other programs, and terminating genuinely awful employees is incredibly difficult. -A manager never really knows if their doing a good job. We typically only hear about things that were done incorrectly. Little to no face time with collegues gets frustrating.
