Pros

Overall a good corporate culture. HR provides for the employees, salary is competitive, and the work environment is good. Especially for retail. It's also great if you are a supplement user and are interested in that field.

Cons

Aside from the Corporate HQ being in the worst part of downtown Pittsburgh, the biggest con of working for GNC corporate is their commitment to hiring non-innovative, non-strategic, corporate stereotype management over the past 3 years. In early 2016, GNC had the leadership team, minus a full-time CEO, needed to revolutionize the company. From the Amazon integration to rebranding of myGNC, attempts to attack the market we're being put in place. That all stopped with the hiring of the current CEO who seems content running GNC like RiteAid (which worked out well). Unfortunately, the organization has lost the dedicated people who could have made a difference and is stuck with the leftovers.

Pros

The job provides excellent exposure to a structured sales plan for someone new to sales. The store gets plenty of foot traffic to create opportunities for customer engagement. The varriety of products to sell on is great as well. Pro Access is a great value for customers building a pre and post work out regiment or building a supplement routine.

Cons

You run the show. While there you are responsable for running the store.
