Pros

When you work for General Nutrition Center, you learn a lot about nutrution and general health. You learn a little bit about all of the product sold at General Nutrition Center in order to sell the products, and in doing so you gain information about how to keep yourself healthy, about digestive health, heart health, weight management, muscle and building, etc. In working at General Nutrition Center you also get an employee discount, which you can use to purchase products in the store. Overall, working part time at General Nutrition Center allows someone to gain experience working with the public, general sales, all the while learning how to be healthy.

Cons

Some of the downsides of working at General Nutrition Center was having slow days. The store manager would work on the "super Tuesday", and this was when the most products were sold. This would mean the store manager would get all the commission. The part time help would get the slower days, and the commission wouldn't be as good. Also, we had to wipe down every single product and every single shelf once a month.

Pros

Generous discount, flexible hours, laidback

Cons

Colleagues will often fall to their lack of thorough training and lack of pay. Career progression is also a dead end when you hit store manager unless you want to give 5-10 years of your life to the company for hardly any pay.
