Pros

Pay is competitive for fashion but not sufficient for the Bay Area. It's a casual work environment and they offer several on site social activities to promote engagement. They encourage volunteer events and match donations made to non-profit organizations. Their involvements with the local Boys and Girls club is admirable.

Cons

The retail climate is tough which can make for a stressful, volatile business environment. There is no loyalty to vendors and manufacturers who have worked with us for decades. Always pushing for better, more unrealistic margins. This is very dependent upon your team, but I did not see management value their better talent. Instead, they let you walk if you're too vocal about the necessary changes that should be made. Senior Managers and above are too disconnected from the day to day ground work. The dental benefits are great, however the medical provider, United Healthcare is terrible. I was often times left with a huge patient responsibility even while selecting doctors who were within the network, and appeals are not heard or followed up on. I was very disappointed with their coverage.

Pros

Good gig as a student. Good team culture, flexible manager with schedules especially around exams, coworkers are nice.

Cons

Job requires you to be available both days of the weekend. Way too much of a push for credit cards towards people who've already expressed they don't want one.
