Pros

ROWE (result oriented work environment )for some brands is fantastic. Good chances of advancement if you know how to play politics. Substantial discount of clothing. The Folsom street location is great. Cafeteria food is good. Weekly "touch base" meeting with your superior is very valuable.

Cons

Due to the fact that Gap's culture of the company is so political, the management teams are very stressed out, and there is a lot backstabbing, making it near impossible to have a direct and honest dialogue. Recruiters make promises that aren't respected. Leadership changes so often that teams are constantly destabilized. Very bland workforce, everyone looks and sounds the same. The biggest problem is the salaries range. It doesn't take into account that San Francisco is the most expensive city in the U.S. (more than NYC), and unless you are upper management, you may really struggle making ends meet. That's inexcusable, especially considering the very long hours that we work each work.
