Pros

Great Benefits - 401K, Healthcare, Vacation, Employee Purchase Program, Stock, Stock Options Cool Products - In all markets. A techie's dream company Company Spirit - Almost religious driven by strong brand Company Management: No debt. Fiscally responsible. Fairly stable Nice facilities Global business - Offices and customers from all over the world

Cons

Culture: Servant mentality is embraced. "You are here to serve" No career path. People are pigeon-holed and rarely have opportunities to progress Mediocre pay packages & raises. Few bonuses or commissions (but stock options) Class system: Engineering is highly valued at the expense of other functions Extremely conservative and risk averse in aggressive consumer markets Homongenous employment: 20-30-something White Male. Few minorities or women in leadership roles. Feels like an engineering college environment. No sense of employee urgency. Traffic jam to leave the office at 5 PM Uncharismatic leadership. Senior leaders hide on their 8th fllor oak paneled offices Limited Management Engagement - Little positivity or encouragement/direction from senior leaders Thrifty to the point of stingy. Nothing is done BIG at Garmin

Pros

Great, and I mean great benefits.

Cons

Poor local culture, everybody is in their own clicks and don't deviate from them. Not a huge amount of office friendliness. Not many team building exercises, and qa gets left out of alot. If you're not a developer, you will have a yard time socially. Coffee is the worst I've had at a company ever. Return to office was not handled right, and the wfh policies were written very vague by a local manager, but what they actually wanted was very specific and was not communicated at all(avg of 1 per month over the course of a year). This lead to a problem where I was denied a wfh request to grieve a dead pet because I used wfh 2 weeks earlier to register a new car ( that I got solely for work commute)
