Pros

You may meet some good and smart people if you are lucky

Cons

1. Extremely political 2. Culture is inconsistent: there is no development, no mentorship, concerns are not listened to or easily forgotten. Most of the meetings re “employee wellbeing” are held for a checkmark only. You are just a number or a value-generating asset who should stay silent or otherwise will be coached out. 3. Your manager is everything and his perspective is decisive even if other stakeholders think differently (as HR once told me “managers are here to judge you and your work”). I always thought that a good manager is a manager who cares about her team but apparently at Gartner the people management is always a one-way street. 4. Exposure should be deserved. It’s completely ridiculous but that’s the message. 5. Layoffs are real and fast if economy shows any negative trends. 6. Some of the management (Mid -Senior level) is extremely arrogant and doesn’t hide this attitude 7. Company is very frugal. No perks for those who like them. 8. Benefits are ok, but def not that great as they advertise it - cannot be even compared with good Tech or top Consulting. 9. Salaries are below the market.

Pros

- Great health benefits and salary - A few great colleagues - Talk a lot about inclusion but this has slowly been falling to the wayside - I have been struggling the write this for some time as I wish there were more positive things to say

Cons

- Leadership that does not see anyone or anything but themselves - The company has been imploding for a while lying to the public and the street - Killing off the research model has been the final decision that has made many decide to look elsewhere (including me) - Lay off after lay off has created a culture of fear
