Pros
There are some great low to mid level managers that care about their employees and the majority of the employees are hardworking and team oriented. Although the amount covered has been decreasing in recent years, the company still offers a large variety of benefits such as health, dental, vision, 401K, and long and short term disability.
Cons
As with many corporations, the main focus over the past few years has been on cost reduction and trimming the workforce. This has resulted in more work for the remaining employees, increased stress and burnout, increased turnover, and a loss of some very experienced and knowledgeable employees. The entry level pay is often low compared to other companies in the same regional area. Executive management is out of touch with the general workforce. They seem primarily concerned with selling the company for their own gain and little if any reward is shared with the general workforce.
