Pros
Overall Genentech is a great company. They care about their employees by giving them great benefits! They also have a lot of employee culture building activities, such as the hohos, concerts, and holiday parties.
Cons
The organization does a lot of restructuring every few years. I noticed recently there's been quite if few executive management leaving Genentech for other companies. It is also hard to get certain changes pushed through because processes that impact the network also need to be vetted with other sites. My particular site is known to be more conservative, which may have ultimately resulted it is current day situation.
