Pros
Due to staffing on the support side (small, team of under 10) you get exposed to a lot, so can learn a lot, when you are not fire fighting to keep 5-12 year old computers running that is.
Cons
Staffing and managements lack of investment in support staff or keeping equipment that is still under support contracts. Lack of support from management team (pxi boot, old equipment, pulling teeth asking for help, just very combative environment within IT).
