Pros

Overall, GDIT has a reputable presence in the IT arena. The salary is on the high end of market yet the benefits are average. - 401(k) matching (fully vested on 1st day of employment) - The management team cares about the employees on a personal level.

Cons

- The medical benefits package is changing towards a HSA (healthcare savings account) model. - There is no overhead hence no job security. When your contract ends or lacks funding, it is up to you to find your next gig. You are hired for a contract...you are not hired into the company. - Contracts tend to be a collection of "warm bodies". The "warm bodies" approach coupled with the lack of tough technical screenings allows for a collection of mediocre developers. Consultants need not apply! - Education reimbursement and training is based upon the funds available for your project. - General leave is one broad category (vacation, sick days, family 'urgencies', etc). - The organizational chart is very bland and lacks diversity.

Pros

Initial Management was good, however went downhill fast

Cons

I was onboarded by an amazing manager, but they are a contracting company. They made horrible decisions to hire the wrong people at the wrong contract and got killed for it. I wish they didn't do this
