Pros

Location, friendly co-workers, parking, building has other young companies in it and movies get filmed there

Cons

benefits are unacceptable and been going downhill for the last 7 years. No raises in the last 4+ years. Corporate restricts internet heavily. No more retirement. No sick time. Continuing to reduce PTO. No paid overtime. Lack of social atmosphere. Management is aloof and unaware of what most employees skills and daily tasks. Corporate implements very controlling change and reduced benefits based on reasons of "security" or "cost". Travel policies state employees have to stay at Marriotts and take the absolute lowest fair. If you work a 60hr week, the first 10 hours must be "donated" to the company even though they charge the customer for it. Health care is almost the same as paying cash. No education reimbursement. Just a completely different company over the past 7 years, and not one way better

Pros

Good work life balance Projects matter for our war fighters Most co-workers are competent and dedicated More work than people, and moving to other engineering jobs is possible

Cons

Some numbskulls seem to get into senior positions. A "Consolidation" of buildings is underfunded, poorly planned, and drives chaos. The push to squeeze every nickel of efficiency means that there isn't always money for equipment or team building events (below the VP level).
