      It used to be that the company supported the US Navy Fleet Personnel and the Navy submarines. But now they are just interested in the bottom line so upper management can maintain THEIR bonuses.

      Pros

      Great Benefits if transferring to full-time status. Extremely established leadership hierarchy. Many experienced engineers willing to help develop a newer engineers' skill set.

      Cons

      If you primarily enjoy being more hands-on environments smaller companies might be a better option. Not necessarily a con but becoming 'shoe-boxed' is much more likely at a larger organization.
