      Pros

      Steady work. Nice comfortable chairs. Usually no micro management. Access to some really neat technology. Large company with access to lots of equipment.

      Cons

      Boring at times. Depending on the job you may be working in a closed area where there is no windows and require to badge in. Management isn't always up to date with the latest technologies or pure management (e.g. - no technical skills). Usually lots of paperwork due to government/military work.

      Great Work Life Balance (very department dependent) Flexible hours 9/80 Work schedule (every other Friday is off)

      Can be very demanding on time crunches Hard to move from mid level positions
