Cons
Leadership is very disconnected with managers and engineers. The company invests very little in research and development and bid and proposal efforts. The business model for bringing in new business is flawed with unrealistic expectations which leads to low propabably of winning new business because the company adds litte value in the efforts it pursues. Opportunities for training are minimal, and mentoring and leadership development are almost non-existant. The decisions some of the leadership makes at this company make it very difficult to meet the objectives they hand down. Leadership seems to be near retirement with no sense of urgency (don't seem to care) when the company is in jeaopardy of cutting jobs. The guns and weapons business units are you best bet to be successful here. I recommend staying away from detection, advanced materials, strategic planning, or functional support.
