Lots of people have been let go or quit the company over the past year. Toxic, dysfunctional, rude, condescending, inconsiderate, and verbally abusive would describe some of the employees. Persistent office politics and cliques. Teamwork doesn't exist in this company's vocabulary. No trust between departments. Company seems very siloed, it's an "us against them" mentality.
Workflow systems are archaic and outdated which caused a lot of confusing as to how things were supposed to get done. It’s a technology company that doesn’t know how use technology. Change is a real struggle for most of the tenured employees. Not a company that is open to new ideas on how to improve things. Genesys didn’t deliver on their promises that were made during the interview process such as tuition reimbursement and cell phone plan reimbursement; the old bait and switch. If they promise you something extra, outside the normal benefits, be sure to get it in writing. Their benefits overall aren’t that great and the company itself just isn't very exciting and isn't the best career move in terms of experience gained from the work that you do.
