Pros
A very convenient(small) campus with a lot of new buildings and too-old-to-care world class academics. You can do a lot but you will not achieve much.
Cons
I have been exposed to many instances of discrimination, racism and ignorance by more than few middle level administrator personnel. Financially I have been always unhappy as a graduate student researcher with 30+ hours teaching duty and no summer support. The school simply had no intention of supporting graduate students life or their academic ambitions. Not enough scholarship program. No university funded event for balancing grad life. Yet the poisonous academic competition was all over the place with less competent young faculties working to gain the attention of world-class retired ones. This place has really very little to compete with real research universities except its unconventional research directions.
