Pros
-Students are dynamic and hardworking. They are easily the best part of my job. -There is definitely a drive from leadership to be ahead of the curve in what we can offer in student affairs-- feels like we are always implementing new ideas and changes. -The culture on campus encourages you to take your sick days and annual leave, and you are expected to leave work at work. Very rarely have I had to answer e-mails past 5pm. -Within our division, there is a noticeable effort from leadership to increase collaboration between departments -Plenty of opportunities for new professionals to engage with others on campus and to develop your skills away from your desk -Free tuition is obviously a huge perk
Cons
-Will probably seem too erratic to someone who doesn't embrace change quickly -Since it's a large school, there is a lot that happens at the VP level that we don't hear about -Budget is and will always be an issue
