Pros
Providing education and research to the community is fulfilling and personally rewarding.
Cons
The administration of this university has been slowly taking funding from professors for decades. You'd think that the people actually interfacing with students know what would be the best for their learning; instead, the face of the college continue to bend to the whims of those who give them money in exchange for detrimental changes to curriculum. Despite the ever-increasing prices of tuition, the faculty who try their hardest to fulfill the mission of the university have experienced deep cuts to benefits, pay, and grants. The students don't benefit from increased tuition prices because professors are chronically overworked and underpaid. The greed of the administration is ruining this place.
