Pros

Very good benefits. Lots of perks. Working from home program. Free product. Peer recognition with cafeteria coupons and product. Flex scheduling. Great ergonomic workstations but bad if you are sensitive to lighting. Yearly Customer Service appreciation week including awards banquet and gifts. Nice activities for team building. Generally a friendly and caring department.

Cons

NO RAISES. MBM is a great idea but only an idea. No room for advancement. Favoritism and nepotism throughout the company. Only the favorites are given opportunities for projects and promotions. Hard work, meeting or exceeding quotas, seniority, skills, desire to learn and education mean nothing in decision making. Nit picky in performance reviews. Micromanagement by some managers and others are not connected to their people. Some cliques that can be catty. Double standards with favorites and everyone else. Favorites can be rude and get away with it. New hires compensated more than senior employees and sometimes given an extra week of vacation. Above average secrecy with management.

Pros

Talented and hardworking electricians, operators, mechanics, and plant personnel. Interesting automation and controls work with opportunities to solve challenging technical problems. Significant autonomy at the local level when responding to production issues. Good compensation and benefits. Corporate engineering resources are knowledgeable and generally willing to help.

Cons

Expectations and priorities frequently changed without corresponding adjustments to workload. Performance feedback lacked important operational context, such as competing priorities, project reassignment, and resource constraints. Communication tended to favor frequent meetings over clear written expectations. Accommodation requests and communication support were difficult to navigate and lacked a clear process. Single-engineer staffing model creates a challenging environment for vacations, medical appointments, training, and long-term sustainability. Heavy emphasis on immediate deliverables can make long-term engineering work and root-cause analysis difficult.
