Pros
Perfect combination of field and office work. Get own projects to work on in which you lead other team members. Pretty technical job, it definitely helps to have an electrical engineering background in order to understand the theory behind everything.
Cons
Participate in on call rotation, so if called in the middle of the night you must respond. Because of on call and timetable of projects, you can get a significant amount of overtime. However, for overtime you get paid (X1.5) so you are compensated nicely.
