Pros

The training team was exceptional and very knowledgeable, but the experience goes downhill fairly quickly once you met your team leads and supervisor on the floor. Some of the few positives are that they are pretty lenient with your attendance and are very understanding about it. You also do get quite some experience here, especially learning about all things healthcare and adhering to HIPAA, so it will look nice on your resume. Also, they provide literally ALL the equipment you'd need and working from home is just always a nice thing. Just be aware, you need your own equipment during training though and while I never had issues with my equipment, a handful do.

Cons

You are watched constantly and scored heavily daily. If your scores are low, you get coached and get put on a "watchlist". The thing is that these policies change VERY often and apparently it's always our fault that we're not aware of it even though the updates were not made to the guides they have us use in a timely manner nor have our team leads informed us of them. There's no growth opportunities or raises even though you're told there is. During training, don't even bother with those bonus assignments, they're useless and do not make you more likely to get promoted. It's $14.50 per hour for a regular CSR, which in my opinion, is definitely way too low in comparison to the workload and level of knowledge that is expected of each CSR. Towards the end of December 2024, they fired a ton of people with no warning and even more will be getting let go this February. These people will cut you off like it's nothing.

Thank you for your review. At GetInsured, we strive to maintain a fair and transparent work environment. Performance monitoring and feedback are standard practices to ensure high-quality service for the millions of people who rely on us for healthcare assistance. Coaching is intended to help employees succeed, and we provide support through training, resources, and leadership guidance. Policy updates are communicated as efficiently as possible, and team leads play a key role in keeping employees informed. We encourage employees to utilize internal communications, team meetings, and their supervisors to stay up to date. If an employee feels they are missing important updates, we welcome them to bring those concerns forward. Regarding growth opportunities, many of our team leads, supervisors, and managers started as CSRs. While training exercises are valuable, promotions are based on performance and business needs. Compensation is set competitively within the industry, with additional incentives available. As for seasonal staffing changes, Open Enrollment requires a temporary workforce to meet peak demand. Once the enrollment period ends, staffing adjustments occur, which is a standard practice across many industries. High-performing employees are considered for permanent roles or invited to return for the next enrollment period. We appreciate feedback and encourage open discussions. If any employee has concerns, we urge them to speak with their manager or HR so we can work toward solutions together.
