Pros

Nice views from the office, interesting industry, ability to make a great impact with Gigster's services.

Cons

- The new CEO at Gigster did a mass round of lay-offs 3 weeks into his role, in which I believe he didn't do his research on the business impacts of these teams. He let individuals and departments go that just a mere several months after the lay-offs they started hiring for the roles again. - The sales team would show up at 10am and leave at like 3 or 4pm. If you work at at a startup you need to be scrappy and hard working and I didn't see this mentality across the larger sales team. There were certainly specific individuals that worked hard but one of their core values was impact over hours. People abused this value and left little impact and performed few hours in their roles. - The modes of communication between employees were hostile. I heard comments coming from employees telling one another to shut up, swearing at peopling, derogatory comments towards women, using terminology for mentally handicapped people as negative connotations in conversation etc. - The day the lay-offs took place were so grossly mishandled, pretty much everyone in the office knew that they were going to be laid off several hours before it actually took place. It was a nasty situation for both the employees being let go and the current employees.
