Pros

Great benefits, competitive pay, nice campus and perks. The company strives to be a good force in the world. The company is very stable with a strong outlook for the future.

Cons

Little opportunity for advancement, promotions are rare for most people. Heavy workloads can make it difficult to maintain work/life balance. The company has an amazing ability to find people with poor interpersonal skills and promote them to supervisory roles; then they wonder why so many employees leave.

Pros

Meaningful, mission-driven work with the opportunity to contribute to projects that can have a real impact on patients. Colleagues are highly knowledgeable, supportive, and generally willing to provide mentorship. Gilead also offers strong resources, exposure to different functions within the pharmaceutical industry, and opportunities to work on high-visibility projects.

Cons

Cons: As with many large companies, decision-making and project approvals can sometimes move slowly because of multiple layers of review. The experience may also vary depending on the specific team and manager, and the number of meetings and internal processes can occasionally feel cumbersome.

Pros

-The only pros are the amazing benefits - probably the best 401K I've seen as well as the highly competitive salaries.

Cons

-Lack of culture is a growing and rampant issue - there is a very high level of favoritism -Micromanagement from senior leadership - instances occuered where they essentially forced an employee to resign and not directly fire him/her just so that they wouldn't have to pay severence package, etc. Managers want to just make themselves look good and make it clear that your only job is to acf as if they are God's gift to this messed up planet. -Lack of proper communication and frequent unnecessary team meetings held which are a waste of time and do not accomplish any desirable results.
