Pros
Small company with high growth aspirations. Management from combined past association with The Hartford (acquired in 2013), Forethought (when based in TX), former Aviva USA, Commonwealth, Lincoln, etc that are patched together with oversight by Global Atlantic Financial which brings in Goldman Sachs. In other words lots of varied experience and access to capital to grow with many ideas on how to get it done.
Cons
Goldman Sachs style leadership is continuously exerting pressure to increase performance and reduce costs. It's a high stress place to work with constant changes. Everyone and everything is under a performance microscope. Not just sales. Product design has been a problem with too many leadership changes which have led to too much trial and error. Operations is a phoenix that is constantly rising and falling from the from the flames of hell. Compensation is mediocre.
