Pros

Everyone is very nice and polite in person. The projects are interesting and the technology is sharp

Cons

These guys will call you on nights and weekends even if you're not on-call. There's very little respect for personal space, mental health, recovery time. They will call you to join meetings on your vacations and if you don't answer your phone keeps ringing. 2 weeks vacation, limited sick time, weekend work, every day over time The India teams are horrible. To the extent they are all negligent level Everyone talks very polite and nice but they act like they completely own you and your time. They really like h1b visa guys because if they don't act like slaves they can send them back right away. Even worse if you work under one of the h1b guys, because they will squeeze all they can out of you if they're in a bind. They get sent back home if they don't deliver. Everything about this company was completely contrary to their motto of our people come first. Everything was about growth and people really didn't respect boundaries, here salaried means unlimited overtime benefits to the company, you are owned.

Pros

Hands-On Experience with Modern Infrastructure Friendly and Supportive Culture Great Resume Builder Work-Life Balance If you value a supportive team culture, a manageable workload, and building high-scale professional project experience, a Global Payments internship is a fantastic stepping stone, especially for launching a career in FinTech or platform engineering.

Cons

Uncertainty Around Full-Time Pipeline Varying Tech Stacks by Team: Because the company encompasses many different product lines and acquired systems, your experience can vary wildly depending on the specific team you land on. Some teams work on cutting-edge, next-gen cloud platforms, while others are tasked with maintaining or upgrading older legacy architectures.
