You can't go to HR about anything. They care more about getting articles out saying that GS was "once again voted #1 place to work!" I don't know which planet they were talking about, but clearly its not on Earth. Management is more worried about their big breakfasts on Fridays than they are about their employees. I was hired to do one job, then was told I'd be better fitted for a "brand new, exciting position!" They just had no one to train me, nothing for me to do, no direction, no supervision and when they figured this out, they let me go. It was definitely a blessing in disguise in the long run. Someone specific on the top wrung would constantly say "Come to me with any questions, any concerns." But when you did, you were told you were wasting her time and couldn't you "figure it out on your own?" Then if you tried to figure it out on your own, you were wrong.
