Large law office with multiple offices across the US and in London, UK. Likes to present as a champagne law firm but has a beer budget. There was no case management software which is pretty much unheard of in large firms. I felt like I was back on 1997. I left in 2016 and since then most of the attorneys have left or been replaced. HR, which is there to make the attorneys happy, consists of two former paralegals with no HR training. I was supposed to be “temporarily” supporting three attorneys for a brief period until additional staff was hired. This went on for 3 months. The results were as expected...I was crazed with overwork and making mistakes while other paralegals were just sorta busy. There were many days that I would have two or three big projects land on my desk (which needed to be done by lunch!) from each attorney and each wanted their job to take priority. One called HR to say I wasn’t doing my job.
