Pros

It's a job. I guess.

Cons

I was hired in a VERY fast paced, high volume bakery. I make 8 dollars an hour. I received NO training and was thrown in immediately. Often there are 5 servers, 5 people working in the other kitchens, 2 dish washers, 3 managers and only 1 person in the bakery. You will have (literally) 9 things to catch up on with coworkers yelling at you because they ran out of pizza dough (why am I making YOUR stuff? Are you crippled?) and a group of 8 years old screaming at you to make cotton candy (WHY are bakers making cotton candy!?!) . Do not count on help, anyone to listen to a word you say (your managers and coworkers talk AT you, not TO you), or any training whatsoever. Your paychecks are pathetic and your hourly rate will in no way reflect your level of responsibilities or the damage you will most certainly do to your body (count on serious carpal tunnel problems keeping you from sleeping every night) or the utter lack of respect you will have to endure from customers and your coworkers. Expect frequent visits from regional managers at they roll out more changes that will prove to be major hindrances to your ability to do your job. They will takes cues from restaurants they visit in Vegas (tax write off) and attempt to apply hair brained ideas to your bar (single serve pudding cups? Smashing idea! No I have to replace all 30 of the limited amount I can leave on the bar EVERY 3 1/2 MINUTES! Thanks!).
