Pros
1) Get chance to learn about the finance domain. 2) Good bonus when time is good. 3) Colleagues are intelligent and most of them are good team players.
Cons
1) Very poor salary. 2) Since you are not directly generating revenue to the company so your growth is really slow in technology. 3) Your promotion does not only depend on your tech skills but also depends on how many people from senior management knows you. Which is very difficult if you join as lateral hire.
