Pros

Co-workers are lovely. You get to sort some really cool stuff that people donate. You get a nice discount on top of prices that are incredibly cheap. You feel like you are contributing to a good cause.

Cons

Very low wage. Sorting donations is gross and disgusting work. My co-workers didn't sanitize the needles used on the pricing guns. All bosses in this general region have a reputation for being mean and verbally abusive. Mine was unpleasant and condescending. Training is subpar. Work behind the register can be very hectic when you have 8 people in line and they all have 1 - 2 carts that are full. Between the unsanitary work and the treatment I received and witnessed from my boss, the job wasn't worth it.

Pros

There is not a single "pro" to be listed.

Cons

The entire corporate office is beyond ignorant. Completely out of touch with reality, price gouging customers trying to raise profit margins for the non profit. Everyday at any second one call from corporate and there is a change to how everything has to be done, usually causing more issues only to blame people who had nothing to do with their ideas. They don't let the store manager be a store manager.. in fact, I'll sum up everything you need to know in one sentence.. they went as far as to install systems to remotely control the thermostat from their comfy corporate office. Imagine not just the employees but the customers constantly complaining. That is how out of touch with reality they all are.
