Pros

You get a discount on the items in the store and the hours were generally flexible to the point that you could literally work 1 day a week if you wanted. Great for people who don't need money, but want a job. Lots of nice people to meet.

Cons

The fact that you'd get one day a week even if you wanted more hours. On the other end of the spectrum - if you had a funeral you would 'gain a point' or get a red mark no matter what, no exceptions. Pure, evil draconian corporate extortion of the human spirit. This place is worse than other corporations, in that it taunts people into believing in their mission. Too bad their mission is simply to make money - this isn't about charity. The managers were bullies and everyone played favorites. Tons of drama and backstabbing as well. Not a healthy work environment. They worked people against each other. It was an unfair place to work for someone trying to survive. There's absolutely no excuse for the cruel, draconian ways of treating the employees. They were so bent on trying to be efficient and meet their goals; they forgot about their employees. Management simply did not care about its employees - Another one bites the dust, but who cares, right Goodwill?

Pros

I get paid consistently. I don't have to stress about restraining people or raising my voice. My clients are friendly.

Cons

The pay is that good. I have to travel to NYC every day.

Pros

Great impact on the community

Cons

Terrible salary and hourly pay rates. They claim they care about the community, but don't do anything for their own people to make sure they're taken care of and paid fairly.
