Pros

Having a full-time job in town.

Cons

1. Management is detatched and jaded from working at Goodwill, and will want you to feel the same, and they will wonder how you can come into work in a good mood every day, while they can not. 2. Goodwill is not a charity organization, the money they earn (from free donted goods) is used to pay minimum wage employees, while the rest is used to line the CEO/Owners pockets. 3. There was a hiring/promotion freeze at the location I was working at, so any transfer or promotion was automatically denied without consideration, and you were locked into your role for an indeterminate amount of time. 4. All store employees were told hours were to be distrubuted to "whoever works the hardest." 5. Absolutely unbearible amounts of pressure and time-crunches.

Pros

There is not a single "pro" to be listed.

Cons

The entire corporate office is beyond ignorant. Completely out of touch with reality, price gouging customers trying to raise profit margins for the non profit. Everyday at any second one call from corporate and there is a change to how everything has to be done, usually causing more issues only to blame people who had nothing to do with their ideas. They don't let the store manager be a store manager.. in fact, I'll sum up everything you need to know in one sentence.. they went as far as to install systems to remotely control the thermostat from their comfy corporate office. Imagine not just the employees but the customers constantly complaining. That is how out of touch with reality they all are.
