Pros

The only pro I can even think of is the people who you start with. They primarily hire people right out of Ohio University so it is nice to start with people your age but that is the only pro at this place.

Cons

- Management is horrible, they barely ever get up from their desks and interact. - Most people have no idea what they are doing because training is virtual and only for two weeks so people constantly have questions that management never knows the answer to. - They push sales numbers on you that are unattainable and they do not even try to help you get to that number. - The pay is constantly changing and they do not send an updated contract. - The turn over is 100%. - They lock you in with a 10k signing bonus so you can't leave for a year or you owe it back. - They started this new "grow" plan which is a personal improvement plan and if you do not hit the number you are let go even if you have not been there a year. - Tons of people are on grow which says something. - Everybody hates the job so it becomes such a negative environment. - Management constantly cancels 1 on 1's which just shows they are not invested in you at all. - They make it seem like there is a lot of upward mobility which is absolutely not true. - They are constantly saying one thing and doing another. - Absolutely no transparency at this company.

Pros

I’ve had a great experience at Goosehead, especially after moving into a Sales Manager role. The company gives people the opportunity to advance quickly if they’re willing to put in the work. I enjoy coaching and developing new agents, and it’s rewarding to see them grow both professionally and financially. The culture is energetic, leadership invests in training, and top performers are recognized. Like any sales organization, expectations are high and the pace is fast, so it isn’t the right fit for someone looking for a typical 9-to-5. But if you’re self-motivated, coachable, and enjoy competition, there are a lot of opportunities for career growth and strong earning potential.

Cons

Fast-paced environment with high expectations, so you have to be self-driven to succeed.

Pros

Broad Product Access: Agents leverage an expansive portfolio of top insurance carriers rather than being forced to sell a single brand. Passive Income Potential: Sales reps earn uncapped commissions on new business alongside recurring residual income from policy renewals. Strong Peer Culture: The workforce is described as highly motivated, energetic, and welcoming, offering a great environment for young professionals. Dedicated Service Support: Separate service and back-office teams handle ongoing client management, allowing sales agents to focus strictly on closing new business. Professional Development: The firm covers the cost of licensing exams and provides structured Salesforce and business development training. Standard Corporate Perks: Full-time corporate staff receive a complete Goosehead Insurance Employee Benefits Package, including a 401(k) match and an employee stock purchase plan.

Cons

No cons to mention here. - this is a job, you can make it great if you care about what you do and the relationships you are building.
