Pros

Goosehead has been the best organization I have ever been a part of for many reasons. It all starts with the leadership and vision at the top. They realized the typical way people bought insurance through the captive model was vulnerable. They developed a company that could sell multiple carriers and had a service team to handle the back office duties, which begins to handcuff agents later in their career. Enter Goosehead. To put it mildly, they simply do it better. As an Account Executive, they will manage many of your metrics, but it all boils down to finding leads and selling leads. If you do this, you will see your income spike 10%-20%-30% plus each and every year. Through many years of trial and error, they have fine tuned the process to become successful at this position. All you have to do is listen and follow it! Also, once on the sales floor, I have never seen a group of sales agents so willing to help one another improve. The company culture is truly remarkable. I have fun every single day at work. Once you are successful, tenured and self sustaining, you have full autonomy, and are basically running your own business. You also have several career paths you can choose during your journey. We have several departments like operations, quality control, recruiting, service, etc. that might be a better fit in the long term for you. If you want to remain in sales, later on you can earn promotions to manager, office head (a couple people have done this in 2 years or less!) and director. As you can see, you have several career paths you can choose from. Realize that you are getting in on a company that has LIMITLESS growth potential. Not only for the company, not only for your income, but for your career and personal growth as well.

Cons

This job is hard work. There are many systems and processes to master. If you want a desk job where you shuffle papers around for 8 hours, don't ever need engage your brain and leave at 4pm on the dot, this is NOT for you. We have all worked some late nights. We have all worked some weekends. It's part of the gig. You will have some frustrating days and you will have some great days. Don't let the highs and lows of sales affect you. Sometimes the constant changes are a bit much, but I can look back and honestly say 90% of them benefited us in the long run.

Pros

I’ve had a great experience at Goosehead, especially after moving into a Sales Manager role. The company gives people the opportunity to advance quickly if they’re willing to put in the work. I enjoy coaching and developing new agents, and it’s rewarding to see them grow both professionally and financially. The culture is energetic, leadership invests in training, and top performers are recognized. Like any sales organization, expectations are high and the pace is fast, so it isn’t the right fit for someone looking for a typical 9-to-5. But if you’re self-motivated, coachable, and enjoy competition, there are a lot of opportunities for career growth and strong earning potential.

Cons

Fast-paced environment with high expectations, so you have to be self-driven to succeed.

Dedicated Service Support: Separate service and back-office teams handle ongoing client management, allowing sales agents to focus strictly on closing new business. Cons

No cons to mention here. - this is a job, you can make it great if you care about what you do and the relationships you are building.
