Pros
You’ll work with people close to your age since they hire the majority of their agents straight out of college. I did make a lot of close friends during my time here. That’s literally the ONLY pro.
Cons
Everything. Their employees are always going to be second to their bottom line. They promise a long term career- ask them how many people of the 150+ sales agents have been there over 3 years. It’s less than 5%. If that. They promise “incredible” earning potential. The majority of the sales agents there make 40-45k their first year or two and 50-60k at the MOST after 3 years (if they make it that long). You’ll be working the most insane hours. 7-7 is expected at minimum for the majority of your first 2 years. You’ll be working weekends. You’ll be micro-managed by passive-aggressive, immature, inexperienced managers giving you incredibly unrealistic sales and metric goals. I was asked to do several things that I felt went against my moral code while working here. Not to mention the fact that half of the office has to constantly pop adderall and chug coffee/energy drinks to keep up with the work load/hours. One of my friends even had a manager suggest during her monthly review that she start taking adderrall to keep up. And then everyone drinks until their sick on the weekends to try to unwind and distress from the week. The “culture” created at Goosehead is toxic and unhealthy. My advice is to stay far far away.
