Pros

- The pay is somewhat decent for being directly out of college. - The people in the actual trenches with you on a daily basis are cool.

Cons

- Rampant Alcoholism and upper management that not only does nothing about it, but actively encourages it. - Several issues with Sexual Harassment, even though management and HR will continually not only downplay it, but actively keep it under wraps. Sometimes they will actually protect perpetrators more than actual victims. - Executives spend more time playing golf than they do actually running the company. - Upper management does not take constructive criticism well. They are incredibly dismissive. - Work/Personal Life balance is non-existent. The President at one time had advised a group of us that there’s no such thing, that this job should be your life. - Executives do not care about you. At one time, one of the VP’s was quoted in - heated speech about “everyone being replaceable.” - If you speak a second language, not only will you not be paid more, but they will make countless excuses as to why they shouldn’t pay you more, even though we have thousands of clients who spoke a second language. - A large amount of the sales agents/agency owners are completely under educated, underprepared, or highly unethical. All issues brought up to upper management have been largely ignored. - Upper management will coach service agents in the best way to “pitch” (lie to) to potential franchise owners in order to sign them with the company, even if that person is obviously not a good fit for the company culture and environment. - Quality control does nothing to stop bad agents from abusing clients with bad policies. - Upper management is lowkey racist. In a very passive aggressive away (see point in regards to how they treat second language clients and agents). - CEO is highly out of touch with his own company. Only cares about sales. - I worked over 80 hours a week (including Saturdays) and this is completely normalized and expected of you. You are treated terribly if you prioritize your own personal life and mental health.

We want to address this review because the details listed are contradictory from daily office life at Goosehead. A safe and fun culture is what makes our offices so special and this is top priority for us. There is an open door policy for our employees to communicate with with HR, Managers, and Executive team members. We have several additional resources for employees to voice any concerns, such as our anonymous hotline. One of the best things about Goosehead is the quality of people we get to surround ourselves with. We will continue to invest and ensure we maintain this reputation. Our employees are our teammates and friends. We care deeply about the success and well-being of our people. We will not tolerate inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. There is a zero tolerance policy for harassment and alcohol use in the office. This is clearly communicated in our employee handbook and we encourage employees to communicate any concerns so we can address them promptly.

Pros

I’ve had a great experience at Goosehead, especially after moving into a Sales Manager role. The company gives people the opportunity to advance quickly if they’re willing to put in the work. I enjoy coaching and developing new agents, and it’s rewarding to see them grow both professionally and financially. The culture is energetic, leadership invests in training, and top performers are recognized. Like any sales organization, expectations are high and the pace is fast, so it isn’t the right fit for someone looking for a typical 9-to-5. But if you’re self-motivated, coachable, and enjoy competition, there are a lot of opportunities for career growth and strong earning potential.

Cons

Fast-paced environment with high expectations, so you have to be self-driven to succeed.
