Pros
The employees in my store are great to work with. That's a big plus in any job. The stores are smaller than major food store chains, so you can get your work done, it's not a never-ending task. Many of the customers are restaurant owners and organizations that shop regularly. You get to know them, and for someone looking for another job, these could be contacts.
Cons
GFS is like all other "modern retail" stores. They schedule erratic shifts and pay minimum wage. Cashiers have to mop, collect the garbage and clean the bathrooms at the end of the day. You're on your feet your entire shift. The store is mystery shopped every two weeks. There are contests for increasing the average number of items purchased and signing up new businesses. Raises given are miniscule. Bonuses are based on the store's performance.
