A lot of hard work and not enough staff. I work 2-12 hour shift and off 3 days. However, the three days or NOT consecutive and if you have a doctors appointment, wedding to attend, etc 6- weeks out you would NOT KNOW WHICH 3 days you would be off.This makes it very hard to plan a doctors appointment, weekend vacation or life event because ALL LEAVE MUST BE SCHEDULED 30 days at a time. You are not told your 3 days off are VARIED; instead you are led to believe -work 2 days off 3 consecutive. When you first board with Grady you will get consecutive days but not for long. When you mention to the scheduler about not knowing which 3 days you will have or you have made plans, the scheduler will tell you to “ SWITCH WITH A COWORKER!!!” UNBELIEVABLE!!! We all have lives and life events and this includes homeless people.
