Pros

Steady work life balance Great benefits including free counseling Decent base pay

Cons

New director sales manager Pam has brought a lot of changes that’s makes it feel more like a call center. The office joy is totally gone, they have taken a micro management approach. Once you have established good relationships with your book of customers and they are spending more they suddenly decide to take those customers from you and give them to new agents and it messes with your commission. You can only grow in the company if you know the right people. Making to many calls raises eyebrows and making. There was no guidance on how to contact hire ups or HR for any concerns you might have had.

Pros

Great company to move up/around in. They have a ton of support although some of that support better than others. Definitely recommend joining the Grainger Team. Great for new and tenured sales people.

Cons

As you move up in the company it is political on if you get the role.

Pros

Competitive (not top tier, but competitive) compensation and benefits. Gym onsite & decent cafeteria that's usually a little more affordable than takeout. Mostly great coworkers. Personally enjoy work-life balance. Internal mobility is there, in abundance, but it's not highly visible or equitable and you'll need your leader's blessing so hustle and get a sponsor.

Cons

Principles plastered everywhere aren't commonly demonstrated. Do the right thing? :/ Everything else is variablly dysfunctional by team or department: days in office, accountability, effort, rewards, infrastructure/tools, workload, budget. Sales-centric org where the rest of the company is 10-20 years behind most modern orgs in structure, performance management, employee experience, skills based L&D, peer recognition, continuous improvement, etc.
