Pros
100% Tuition Paid, pretty good benefits for health care, dental, etc. Some positions have bonus opportunities once or twice a year (depending on positions and department). Workout facility, bowling alley, day care, restaurants, coffee shop and convenience store on campus. Management has a lot of new ideas that other universities aren't thinking about. Opportunities for advancement in some departments and chances to participate in university events.
Cons
Downsides really depend on the department and management of the department. The salaries across the university's departments are poorly structured. For example, there could be an enrollment counselor making $50k in one department while an admin may make 55-60k or a manager in a non-enrollment group may make only 45k. The annual increases are usually poor and there are no reasons provided for good or bad raises.
