Pros

Many courses offered to teach all year round.

Cons

The workload per online course is very large because of the class sizes. You typically have around 25 students per business course. Each course has two weekly Discussion Boards and due to the Participation requirements as well as other weekly assessments and responding to emails, a faculty who does her/his job properly can expect to work about 20 to 25 hours per week for eight weeks and earn less than $1800 for an undergraduate course and just over $2000 for a graduate level course. If you do the math that averages to around $10/hour.
