pay and benefits mainly because of the union

management and HR. they hate the union and create a culture of them v.s us. constant threats of discipline in safety meetings and upper management won't take employees ideas nor will the empower them. firings happen all the time to new but also long term employees for small mistakes or for schedule changes done after the time that is directed it to be, the employees have gone home and don't know. if you get hurt well nice knowing you. union is so weak and union reps are so afraid of speaking out and advocating for members means they sit there in meetings and say nothing. grevience's do get filed but members are not called to be there to advocate for themselves. you work in a constant state of fear. major turn over in all aspects of company including lower management. maintanece department is not allowed to keep parts. people thrown into positions they do not want, against contract and then get fired for it
