Pros

Decent pay compared to other companies within the same role.

Cons

Management has no insight regarding process improvement to retain employees. Supervisor placed blame on job errors on employee rather than taking accountability or looking into why the errors happened. There was no concept of team approach. My supervisor made everyday miserable with her unrealistic expectations and unwillingness to improve the work process. Worked salary but was required to be there for the same hours and needed to take an hour lunch. Expected to come in early or stay late at their convenience but I was not allowed to leave early, which defeats the point of being on salary.

Pros

The pros of working in the department included decent benefits minus minimal vacation times. Other areas of the company seem decent for culture but not there.

Cons

The management of corporate E&S is dysfunctional at best and abusive in reality. After the novelty of being the new hire wears off, you will face malicious comments and gossip, no positive/constructive feedback, scapegoat blame, extreme micromanagement, constantly changing expectations, etc. There is no psychological safety. Management will not provide resources for career development, protected time off, or flexible arrangements. If you won't quiet quit they will turn up the heat until they have to fire you. I watched others around me stop eating or sleeping and when I tried to talk about how I myself was feeling, a flyer for therapy was placed on my desk in response. So much love was shown to me by the staff at other facilities. Someone even expressed to me "out of everyone in corp E&S, you were the one that listened".
