Pros
Greenlight has some amazing employees. Everyone works hard and works well together. If help is needed, it isn’t hard to find. The company pays well and provides opportunities for growth and development along with thoughtful benefits. Greenlight also likes to have a great time with quarterly outings that promote inclusion, belonging, and camaraderie amongst the various departments. There is also documentation for processes that can help new engineers. The biggest pro is being a part of making a children for children all over the US through the Greenlight platform.
Cons
The biggest con, in my opinion, is the lack of diversity on the people team and C Suite. The lack of diversity in these areas affect the company’s progress towards implementing diversity strategies that are different from the norm. There is a lot of complacency and righteousness. Anything that deviates from the consensus of the group is frowned upon and met with defensiveness. This can be limiting when it comes time to be innovative and forward thinking with initiatives. There is favoritism and groupthink in an area that should be unbiased and protective about the culture of the workplace.
