Pros
Due to budget cuts, my position was eliminated by the corporate office of my former employer, a company for which I consistently worked 60 to 70 hours per week, more often than not. Through the very kind recommendations of my previous division VP, I was recommended to GS&P, which happened to have an immediate need for my skills and experience. Less than a month later, I was on board via an extremely smooth, expedited, and supportive process. Everyone in HR, along with my new director, knew my situation and was committed to getting me to work as quickly as possible. My second week of work, I was hit with the flu - naturally I was concerned about missing work with a new employer. Yet, I was assured by my department director that everything would be ok -- they just wanted me well. I was allowed to work from home so that I could recover more quickly, and to prevent spreading the virus at work. As a result, I was able to continue my learning process and make up lost time. I love that the company is extremely mobile, which allows employees to stay connected even when they're away from the office. My co-workers could not be more friendly or helpful and supportive. And for the first time in over four years, I feel like I actually have a balanced life. Needless to say, I'm a huge fan of this company.
Cons
Parking downtown is extremely limited, so employees are shuttled in from a nearby parking lot. Even so, it's a quick and easy ride with very friendly and prompt drivers.
