Pros

Large company that most candidates in the industry know. Exciting expansion. Beautiful offices.

Cons

Very political atmosphere. Erratic leaders. (While I was there) I was asked (from business leaders) to discriminate against candidates. And would be reprimanded when I pushed back. Would receive phone calls from my "clients" at all hours of the day and night (the earliest ever was 4:30AM, the latest was 11:00PM) and expected to answer. Was contacted throughout FMLA leave to do work. When dealing with difficult clients, I very rarely had support from my management. "Customer is always right" to a fault. By the end of my tenure, I would feel nauseous about going back to work after the weekend. The individuals in the company are great, but the company culture/values for corporate employees is severely lacking. Once I started looking for new opportunities, I also realized that I was EXTREMELY underpaid. Not a lot of room for advancement in this department and very minimal annual bonuses (based on performance, but there were never meetings about individual performance. Different % across recruiters. This was a point of contention among many TAA's and haphazard assignment of merit increases as well) HR/Talent Acquisition consistently had the lowest "employee satisfaction" NPS scores out of the ENTIRE COMPANY, by a lot with out action to change the environment. Working at Greystar felt like being a cog in a very cold, miserable machine that lived in the darkest corner of a basement. Many people from Talent Acquisition and the HR team left from 2017-2018. And I hope it was a wake up call to change the culture of that division. It could very likely be different now - But be aware.

Pros

They pay you well and give good benefits.

Cons

They will work you to the bone, abuse you emotionally, manipulate you, talk down on you, and throw you out the moment you aren’t taking any of it. They work you your normal hours and then 30-50 overtime hours in that same two weeks. They don’t care for their employees well being, only the results they get the client. Even if it’s at the expense of your health, safety, or mental status. Management is like a giant frat and sorority opened a business. You can’t ask for help they’ll retaliate, you can’t ask for relief or they’ll retaliate, you can’t have issues otherwise they’ll retaliate. Do not work here even for the money or benefits, they will work you to death and then prop your corpse up to work more. If you value your personal time, mental health, and over all well being. God forbid you want to leave your building and management doesn’t want you to, ask for a transfer and they will rain down write ups on you. You are owned by the client if you work for this company. Modern day indentured servitude. DO NOT WORK FOR THEM.
