Pros

Have a few very decent clients with interesting opportunities. Good engineering team, in majority nice people in all locations. They do try to help you with professional growth supporting reimbursement for conferences and literature. US relocation for ones who is interested. Company grows fast.

Cons

Lack of management support at client's site. Unclear offshore and onsite salary policy which sometimes works, sometimes not. Low salary level for relocation. Skill map for grade system is weird. Working hours can be crazy especially if you need to communicate with offshore. Extremely poor predictability of both - project situation and career development. You may jump or stuck with your career. Company growth looks more like transition into body shop.

Many thanks for the detailed feedback! Glad to know you’ve enjoyed the opportunities, team and other benefits! Our salary ranges are based on market and particular skills. We also regularly review performance which is reflected in salary reviews. Skill map is a new corporate tool that is designing to help GD employees in their development process. While it is still in dev, as you know, we are always open to feedback. We hope that you brought your concerns forward with your Manager, as the Skill Map is not the only resource we offer for your professional development, such as our own GridU.

Pros

Grid Dynamics was a FANTASTIC place to work. They essentially function as a resource management company where you will be contracted out to their customer for different projects. It allows for a wide variety of different opportunities.

Cons

The only downside of Grid Dynamics is that you are tied to the viability of the different contracts. While Grid makes every effort to keep you with the company between contracts, if there aren't any contracts with openings then you will be released. However, Grid has a concept of putting people on a "bench" where you get paid while you wait for a new role in a contract.
