Pros

The culture cultivated at Grow is very relaxed yet energetic. They have strived to create an environment that promotes a desire to work, keeping the daily grind fresh and non-draining . I honestly enjoy every day of work here. There's also the obvious bonuses like free snacks and drinks, unlimited PTO and the game room. But these are all just extra's in a company that is rapidly growing (pun not intended) with some of the best people to work with and great career opportunities. The CEO, Rob, is great to work with. He makes an effort to always know everyones names (which is impressive with how many new names seem to come on every week) and to always leads the company culture with his example. I'd say this is the best SaaS company you could hope to work for short of Google.

Cons

Growing pains. Management has done a fantastic job at rolling with the punches that come with large and swift growth. Nevertheless there were some growing pains (as to be expected) that put some strain on the employee's for a short time. This has since been dealt with in a well structured and scalable fashion. I can't think of any other sort of con mention.

Fast paced environment. Opportunities to increase communication but not a deal breaker.

Pros

They have some great people working for the company. It was good to learn from them and build my network. The industry is a cool and exciting one to be in. Learning BI and data has been a valuable skill for me to grow my career.

Cons

I don't see Grow succeeding and they have been going down for a few years now. They make quick and drastic pivots to the product, marketing, and overall business model without giving time to see if the changes will actually work. That was extremely frustrating to deal with when I worked for them. They don't put enough money into the product to make it stable or add key features to make it competitive in the market. The product is a buggy mess and so frustrating to use. One of the reasons I left was because I was tired of using Grow and dealing with all the bugs it has constantly. It's also missing key features that even basic BI tools have. It's overpriced and difficult to sell and even more difficult to keep customers. I had a lot of hope for Grow but I'm just not seeing it succeeding anymore. They focus too much on the financials instead of making strategic business decisions. That is due to an Accountant being the right hand of the CEO. Unfortunately, I see more layoffs coming soon. Hopefully, the CEO isn't on vacation in Mexico this time like he was when they laid off most of the sales team.
