Pros

Culture was awesome! I got my first taste of what a healthy culture could be when I started at Grow over two years ago (that changed). I worked with, who I still consider, the best coworkers I've ever had. I fell in love with SaaS at Grow. I developed a passion for BI and data there.

Cons

Take the good reviews with a grain of salt. When I worked at Grow, it wasn't uncommon at all for HR to ask us to review the company to push the bad reviews down. I never did... because, well, honesty. After a while of working at Grow I really started to understand why Grow was going nowhere. The CEO never allocated resources to the proper departments. He never appreciated, recognized or knew the talent that was in his own company. If he did appreciate it, noone would've known it. At least not in CS. I worked in CS and I know for a fact we were always ignored. Well, ignored is putting it lightly as we weren't even asked for input on the product or how it could improve, let alone spoken to. Which was incredible given the fact that CS had to see day in and day out, the frustrations that customers were facing first hand. I feel strongly that the product team, as good of people as I believe them to be, were largely inadequate. They tried, and had shown to have a lot of passion for the product. However, they lacked experience, and worse yet they commonly deflected the call to fix major bugs and KLO issues from both the customers as well as the CS department. The complete absence of interdepartmental communication was appalling to say the least. I have a lot to be grateful for having worked at Grow. I grew to love many of those I worked with, and developed skills that are very marketable. I hope the things I've mentioned amongst other issues change for the better and that these negative reviews can be a wake up call to Rob and the rest of leadership. I can't help but doubt that, though. I saw so many company opportunities and chances wasted. Disclaimer: I wasn't part of the recent layoffs from Grow, and so no, I didn't sign any severance agreements. So Glassdoor; dont remove this review under any claims for violations of agreements or anything else of the sort. I left Grow on my own accord after experiencing the lack of involvement from leadership, absence of interdepartmental communication, and failure to recognize and appreciate the amazing talent that once was at this company.

Pros

They have some great people working for the company. It was good to learn from them and build my network. The industry is a cool and exciting one to be in. Learning BI and data has been a valuable skill for me to grow my career.

Cons

I don't see Grow succeeding and they have been going down for a few years now. They make quick and drastic pivots to the product, marketing, and overall business model without giving time to see if the changes will actually work. That was extremely frustrating to deal with when I worked for them. They don't put enough money into the product to make it stable or add key features to make it competitive in the market. The product is a buggy mess and so frustrating to use. One of the reasons I left was because I was tired of using Grow and dealing with all the bugs it has constantly. It's also missing key features that even basic BI tools have. It's overpriced and difficult to sell and even more difficult to keep customers. I had a lot of hope for Grow but I'm just not seeing it succeeding anymore. They focus too much on the financials instead of making strategic business decisions. That is due to an Accountant being the right hand of the CEO. Unfortunately, I see more layoffs coming soon. Hopefully, the CEO isn't on vacation in Mexico this time like he was when they laid off most of the sales team.
